How does a homeowner hire a fixer on Fixt?
Describe the repair and add photos. Fixt shows an AI scope, then local fixers in New York bid. You accept one bid. You pay that bid amount only.
Where does Fixt work?
Fixt is New York only. In-person fixer bids use New York ZIP codes 100–149. FixtMarket delivery is in New York City boroughs. FixtMarket delivery follows each borough’s weekday cutoff. Staten Island is next-day. Weekends and orders after the cutoff are the next business day.
What does the homeowner pay?
The homeowner pays the accepted bid and nothing on top of it. Posting a job is free. Fixt takes a 5% platform fee from the fixer payout, so the fixer receives 95% of the bid.
How does job payment work?
You pay the winning bid when you accept it. There is no homeowner fee. A 5% fee comes out of the fixer payout.
